I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
